Individualized Studies Majors reflect SUNY Geneseo students’ intentional design of their education: a synthesis of courses across two or more subject areas to create something excitingly new. These majors culminate in a capstone experience through which students produce a tangible project to showcase the kinds of achievement made possible by their self-designed major. Through the individualized studies process, students meet Geneseo Learning Outcomes for Baccalaureate Education (GLOBE) in integrative inquiry, application and transfer of knowledge, and reflection.
